VCC is the only public institution in the Lower Mainland offering cosmetology programs.

real-world experience and incorporate trends and fresh ideas into their training.
Their goal is to help students prepare for all aspects of a successful career in cosmetology.
Prospects are very good for cosmetology professionals in B.C. The demand for qualified hairstylists, barbers and estheticians continues to grow as the public's desire for specialized personal services increases. Opportunities for self-employment, as well as part-time and full-time work are expected to rise over the next five years.
Practical experience is a very important component in this personal service industry. Courses are taught using the on-campus salon that serves the College community and the local public.
Graduation students are prepared to sit the
examination of The Cosmetology Industry Association of British Columbia.
